Here are a series of tutorials to show you different features of PC-Travel. Click on the Play button to load the tutorial, then click on the arrow button in the middle of the window to watch. The controls at the bottom of the tutorial window control the playback. If the window is a little small on your screen try clicking the Full Screen icon next to the Volume control.
PC-Travel 3:
Introduction to PC-Travel 3
This tutorial gives an introduction to PC-Travel 3, the new software replaces PC-Travel 2. It is primarily aimed at current users of PCT-2 to show the differences and similarities of the two programs (21 minutes).
Introduction to GPS2LT3
This tutorial gives an introduction to GPS2LT3, the software used to collect data in the field using a GPS receiver and a laptop or tablet computer. (34 minutes).
Using Speech Recognition with GPS2LT3
This tutorial gives a brief summary of how you can use the Speech Recognition software in your laptop or tablet to run GPS2LT3 in the field. This makes it possible to collect comprehensive data using just the driver in the car. (13 minutes).
How To Create a Map Project with US Census Bureau Data
This tutorial shows you how to download free maps of your county from the US Census Bureau and create a map project to use in PC-Travel 3. (16 minutes).
How To Create a Map Project with Open Street Map
This tutorial shows you how to create and download an .osm map file from the Open Street Map web site and then how to process that file in TatukGIS Viewer to create a map project to use in PC-Travel 3. Finally the tutorial shows how to use the map project in PC-Travel 3. This feature is of particular interest if you need maps outside the US (17 minutes).
